The image that comes to mind for me is how humans being bipedal and everything that comes with it is how basically the mechanics of walking upright is being constantly in a state of almost falling. It's literally built in.

Contemplating that at the scale we now exist in is a heck of a thing.

Normally I am skeptical when the heart of an article is buy my book but you present a compelling case for how the dialog here requires such depth. Just purchased 🙏

As to the casual cruelty in humanity I am reminded on how Europeans (and others I am sure) had a party to watch people be executed. Somehow, violence has become or always was an innate part of our success.

While the internet took bullying and violence to a new level, it also took community and individuality to new levels. Nobody trained us for the internet, there is no central body of humans with the resources and capabilities to provide such trainings. It is good to hedge against danger, damage, and the sheer potentiality of chaos but wishing for a central organization to save the day is a huge part of the problem if unchecked.

Nobody can save us from ourselves at the end of the day.
